Karina’s Senior Recital
On March 1st of 2025, Karina composed and performed nearly an hour of original music for her Senior Composition recital. She put together a band of backup vocalists, three string players, a pianist, a guitarist and a bassist, and performed many songs from her most recent album, I can’t be 20.
Urinetown the Musical
In the fall of 2024, Karina played Hope Cladwell and served as assistant vocal coach in Willamette University Theater’s production of Urinetown.
In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he’s had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagements, municipal bonds and….musical theatre!
